How to reach us, and when.
You can reach us by phone or by the form above, whichever you prefer. Phone is fastest if your question is time-sensitive or you have a boat you need looked at soon; the form is easier if you want to describe something in detail or you are getting in touch after hours. Either way a real local person answers, usually the same day, and often within a couple of hours during the week. We are not a national chain routing you through a call center, and we are not a lead broker who sells your information to three other companies. When you contact Sarasota Boat Cleaning, you are talking to the people who actually do the work across coastal Sarasota County.
What to expectWhat happens after you send a message.
We read every message a person sends, and we reply like one. If your question has a quick answer, you will get it. If it is really a job in disguise, we will say so and point you to the free quote path, since a firm price needs a look at the boat rather than a guess by email. If it is a bottom cleaning or a stubborn stain, we will ask a couple of questions so we arrive with the right gear. We will never bury you in follow-up calls or add you to a marketing list you did not ask for. One honest exchange is the goal.
Ask us anythingQuestions we are happy to answer.
Plenty of people reach out before they are anywhere near ready to book, and that is exactly what this page is for. Owners ask whether their faded hull needs a full oxidation cut or just a wax, how often a boat kept on a lift really needs its bottom cleaned, whether a musty cabin can be brought back, what a ceramic coating actually does on the salt-air coast, or whether we can bring back a boat another company gave a cheap, swirly buff. We answer all of it, plainly, with no obligation. If you want to read up first, the FAQ covers the questions we hear most, the services page explains what a wash, oxidation cut, bottom cleaning, interior detail, and coating each involve, and the pricing page is honest about what drives cost. But if you would rather just ask a human, that is what we are here for.
By phoneThe questions we hear most, and short answers.
Some questions come up so often that it is worth answering them right here, though we are always glad to talk it through in person. Do you clean any make of boat? Yes, we wash and detail center consoles, bay boats, cruisers, sailboats, and yachts of all sizes, however they are stored. Can you really cut oxidation out without repainting? Usually, yes; as long as there is enough gelcoat left, a proper compound and polish bring back the color and gloss, and a wax or coating keeps it there. How disruptive is it? Not at all. We work at your dock, lift, or slip, most washes and details are done in a day, and we tidy up after ourselves. Do you clean the bottom in the water? Yes, our hull and bottom cleaning is an in-water dive service, so there is no haul-out, and we check the zincs while we are down there. How often does a boat need cleaning? A wash every week or two on a recurring plan keeps salt and growth from ever building up. If your question is not here, the FAQ goes deeper, and you can always just ask us directly.
If it is a specific jobWhat to tell us so we arrive ready.
If you have a particular problem in mind, a few details in your message help us bring the right gear and skip a wasted trip. Tell us the make and length of the boat if you know it, where it is kept, and exactly what is going on: chalky faded gelcoat, a slimy or barnacled bottom, sluggish speed, stained or mildewed seats, a musty cabin, or dull ground-in non-skid. If it is the bottom, let us know roughly how long since it was last cleaned and whether it is on a lift or sits in the water, since that tells us how much growth to expect. Chalky topsides, a fouled hull, a stained interior, and dull non-skid all look like "it just needs cleaning" from the dock but are very different jobs. The more you can tell us, the faster and more accurately we can point you at the right service.
Still comparingFor owners weighing their options.
Plenty of the people who contact us are not ready to book anything, and that is genuinely fine. You might be deciding between a one-time detail and a recurring plan, comparing us against another quote you already have, or just trying to understand whether the service someone recommended actually fits your boat. We are happy to be a second opinion. If another company quoted you a full cut and coating, tell us the make and the shape the boat is in and we will tell you honestly whether that is what it needs or whether a wax would do, because oversized jobs are a common way to overspend on the coast, and a coating over poorly prepped gelcoat is money wasted. There is no charge for a straight answer, and no obligation to use us. If you want to read first, the pricing page explains what actually drives cost and the about page explains how we work and why boats are the only thing we clean.
TimingHours, response times, and busy stretches.
For routine questions and quote requests, the form and the phone both reach us, and we typically respond the same business day. In the peak of season, when everyone on the coast is getting their boats ready, our schedule fills and a detail may be booked for the next available window rather than that week; we will always be straight with you about when we can realistically be there rather than promising a time we cannot keep. If you have a boat that needs to look right for a sale or a survey on a deadline, say so in your message or on the phone and we will do what we can to move you up. We serve year-round owners and snowbirds alike, and for boats whose owners are out of state we are used to coordinating dock access and reporting back with photos.
Real peopleWho you are actually reaching.
When you contact us, you are not filling a slot in a national dispatch queue and you are not becoming a lead to be sold. You are reaching a local, boat-focused crew that works this coast and keeps boats here too. That matters more than it sounds, because it shapes every answer you get: we have no incentive to oversell you a service your boat does not need, and every reason to give you honest guidance, since the business runs on neighbors at the same docks referring neighbors. If we are the right fit for your boat, we will tell you and show you a fair price. If we are not, we will say that too, and point you in a better direction. Either way you get a straight answer from someone who will still be here next season. You can learn more about how we work on the about page, see exactly what we do on the services page, and when you are ready for a number, the free quote is the fastest path.
Where we workLocal to coastal Sarasota County.
We serve the coast from the barrier islands to the canal neighborhoods and marinas, including Sarasota, Siesta Key, Venice, Longboat Key, Bird Key, and many more. Each community has its own page describing the docks and conditions we see there, and you can browse them all on our service-area page. If you are not sure whether you are in our range, just ask; we will tell you honestly. And when you are ready to move from a question to a price, the free quote is always the faster path to a real number.
Whatever brings you to this page, we would rather have a useful conversation than a fast one. If you have a boat that needs to look right on a tight deadline, tell us and we will do what we can to prioritize you. If you are planning ahead for the season or getting a boat ready to sell, we are happy to talk through the options early so the work is scheduled in rather than rushed at the last minute. And if you simply want a second opinion on a boat or a quote, that is a good reason to reach out on its own. However you get in touch, you will hear back from a real local person, usually the same day, with a straight answer and no obligation.
